Mother's Day Gameboards

The rain has stopped here in Ohio and it was actually pretty decent weather wise today. That was a good thing for me. My stencils that I ordered came in the mail yesterday and I needed to get busy on my Mother's Day gifts. I knew that as soon as they came in I needed to get busy on one for my Mom, but then my husband told me that I should make his Mom one too. So, after sanding my boards this morning, painting this afternoon, sanding this evening and staining them..... they are FINALLY done!! I am definitely pleased with both of them. I hate to get rid of them (lol). Anyway, my Mom already knows that she is getting one and she told me that she wanted one real old and worn looking so the first one belongs to Mom. Hope you like it Mom!! The second one belongs to Annie (my mother in-law). After painting them, I was a bit nervous because they didn't turn out perfectly, but after sanding and then staining, I was happy with the way that they turned out. What do you all think? Do you have a favorite?

I also had to throw in a few pictures of some of my flowers. My pink clematis started blooming the other day. Isn't it just so pretty? I love the bright pink. I also have light purple and dark purple clematis vines as well, but they don't bloom til later.
Here is a cute little petunia that I planted the other evening. Isn't that a cute little holder? My Mom bought that for my awhile back and I have it on the outside of our home as you are coming in the back door. I just thought it was cute and prim looking!!
Well, I am off to relax before it is bath time for a little boy and then I am going to sit back and watch Grey's Anatomy. I was so hoping that Private Practice was on, but last week was the season finale (Ah Shucks). Hope all have a WONDERFUL and BLESSED Mother's Day!! I am off to spend the weekend with my Mom on Saturday morning. Hugs to you all.

Lisa, both the gameboards turned out equally well. I'm sure they will love them. Now you need to make one for yourself. Have a wonderful Mother's Day. Are you going to the Amish country??

Hi Lisa, First of all, I want to tell you how much I enjoy your header. Did you say the lamp was for you for Mother's Day from hubby and son? I think you did. It is wonderful.
Any Mom would be proud to receive one of the gameboards. My favorite is the first one..only because it would go in my house.

Your flowers are stunning and the little petunia reminds me of the song my Grandma used to sing to me...... 'the lonely little petunia in an onion patch'....I can hear her singing it to me now!

Happy Mom's Day !
