Mother's Day - A Crazy Busy Weekend

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!!
We headed to my parents so I could spend some time with my Mom for Mother's Day!! I must say that I love my Mom with all my heart! Not only is she a GREAT Mom, but she is also the best friend that a girl could ask for. She has been a wonderful Mom to me for the past 33 years of my life, but as I got older..... I also gained such a wonderful friendship in my Mom. We have so much in common, we are like 2 crazy peas in a pod, we can act crazy and stupid together and know that we don't care what others are thinking because we know that we are having a WONDERFUL time together!! We just have so much fun together. I can't really say enough about my Mom. She has definitely been the glue that keeps our family together. She is such a strong and beautiful woman and I love her dearly. My Mom and I are such free spirits......we enjoy life, all of God's wonderful creations and we are unbelievably so much alike that I feel like we were made out of the same mold. That is a good thing!! Well, here is a picture of my Mom and I during lunch at Rebecca's in Amish Country. Yep, we went back to Amish Country, but you know something...... we never get sick of going (lol). We ALWAYS have so much fun and with my husband taking care of Cameron while we walk around the antique malls and Country Gatherings.....well, you couldn't ask for more!
Isn't my Mom pretty? Not only pretty on the outside, but she is beautiful on the inside! Yep, that woman right there is my BEST Friend! I love you Mom and I hope you enjoyed your special day. I know that I did and well I loved the meal that you cooked for me. Nothing better then Momma's cooking!
After dinner and before bed, we decided to play some Wii bowling. OMGosh, this is so addicting and well we stayed up til 1 AM playing. My Mom loves it!!
Here she is celebrating 4 strikes right in row!
~She is so crazy~

My 2nd half of Mother's Day was spent with the little boy that makes my heart sing, that brightens my darkest of days with his beautiful smile and has a beautiful smile and pretty blue eyes that make my heart melt. Yep, I am totally in love with my little boy. I never knew that Motherhood could be so wonderful, but when I was blessed with my son on Jan 6, 2007 I knew that indeed my love for him would grow stronger and stronger everyday and that I would love him with all of my being. Yesterday was the anniversary that I received the call from my fertility doctor telling me that I was pregnant and expecting and that IVF worked for us. It was THE BEST PHONE CALL EVER!! I tell me husband all the time that I don't need anything else because honestly I have everything that I have always wanted right here in my home. I have a wonderful husband, a sweet little boy, a home that I am proud of, my FAITH in God and a love for life. I am truly happy!! Mother's Day and the gifts is just an added perk. Speaking of added perks..... here is that beautiful smile that I was just talking about. Gosh, I love that little boy!!
As I was playing in my flowerbeds yesterday.... I found a toad. I told Cameron is was a frog because quite frankly he knows more about frogs then toads (lol). So, here is Mr. Frog. Cameron and I chased around "the frog" for awhile yesterday, but we DID NOT pick him up (whew).
Oh - Here are the items I gave to my Mom for Mother's Day!! I ended up making her this sign as well as the mustard game board that I posted in an earlier post. This sign is a 4x12 (the perfect size for a shelf or to sit on the countertop).
Here is her game board that I made her in her kitchen - lookin good!
Well, I leave you with these beautiful purple flowers..... Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day. I know that I was totally blessed by my day and I hope you all were as well. Another post to come later on today. I have lots more to share, but I kinda wanted to dedicate this post to my Mom and celebrating Mother's Day!
Oh - I purchased a few things for my giveaway so be watching for info on that as well as some antique mall purchases that we made this weekend as well as more interesting stuff!! Stay Tuned!!
