A Delivery & TS Finds

I received my goodie box from Anne's giveaway yesterday! Thank you Anne. I love everything that was in the box. I am still looking for a few homes for some items, but mostly everything already has a home. I received the throw that everything is displayed on along with the primitive blessings plate, the crow, the pull ram toy, a few candles in a little pouch, the cute little prim bowl and a bundle of sweet annie. Isn't everything so nice? I giveaways! Speaking of giveaways...... I will be having one soon as a birthday celebration for me. Yep, you heard me right - I will give giving away some stuff because my birthday is coming up. What a special way to spend your birthday then by giving someone a box of goodies. Well, I am heading to Amish Country this weekend so you better believe that I will be posting my giveaway and the goodies to go along with it come Monday. Stay Tuned!!
I went to my local thrift store last night. I try to go to our thrift store frequently since it is right down the street, but rarely find anything. Well, last night was a different story. We went to pickup Cameron's prescription since he is sick with a sinus infection, but no one here in town has that medicine. What? I thought every pharmacy carried all drugs, but I guess I was mistaken. Goes to show you how much I know (lol). So, they ordered the medicine and I headed over to Goodwill. Well, my first item that I snatched up pretty fast was this old sled. I know I won't be using it until Christmas time, but I thought that when that time rolled around that it would look so cute on my front porch. I don't think I am going to do anything to it since it already looks prim enough and well I love the color. Yep, I can see it now on my front porch with my little Christmas tree close by. Oh yes, how cute, but trust me I AM NOT RUSHING CHRISTMAS!!
Here are some other goodies that I found. I found this little wooden tote box or magazine holder..... whatever you want to call it. I thought it would look cute painted black and primmed up and then I am going to plant some flowers in it. I also have some little prim looking hand spades that I thought would look cute in there as well. I will of course have to take pictures so you all can see what I am talking about. Trust me....it will be cute! I also bought another wooden bowl and then this wire basket. I already painted it black and I am going to plant put some moss in it and plant some flowers and probably hang that on my front porch as you are heading into my home. I can see some pretty pink and purple flowers along with some sweet potato vine in there. Yep, it is gonna be pretty!! So, all and all I think I had a great trip to my local TS.

OH - I am also going to be starting my kitchen cabinets soon. After talking to the gals at North Shore Primitives.... I am ready to start!! They are going to look great once I am completed. I have decided to paint them with the Olde Century Buttermilk paint. They gave me directions on how to do it so now that the weather is warming up...... I am ready to start. It will definitely be a process, but it will be worth it in the long run and look so cute and prim when I am done. Here is a fuzzy picture of the color I will be using, but at least it gives you an idea. It is the color right in the middle. So, after I sand the cupboards, paint them and then stain them - they will be perfectly prim!! I'll let you all know once I start.

Hi Lisa!

What great goodies you got from Anne's giveaway. And, again, I'm jealous of the great things you find at your GW! I wish I had your luck! Love the sled.

Yeah!! Amish country again! I was just there Friday and spent waaay too much money! We should buy stock in Country Gatherings! LOL
Do you know that Rebeccas sells their herb dressing? My sister and I had bought some in December that they had sitting on the counter. I hadn't seen it the last couple of times I was there, so I called on Thursday and the girl said she'd have 2 pint jars ready for me on Friday. They're only $5.95. My daughter loves it and it's great marinating boneless chicken breasts in it and then grilling. Yum!

Have a great day!

P.S. How's that sap bucket project coming along? ;)
