BIG Left Turn - Off Focus

I told myself that I was going to dedicate this blog totally to my home, primitives and antiques, but today I decided to take a BIG left turn. I woke up this morning and think I have finally hit a stop sign. Last night I went to get my hair done which I totally love doing, but she cut it a bit short for me and then I had a major migraine hit and well it hasn't left yet. So, there are no kids here today except my own and my migraine is just killing me. Shortly after I had my son, the doctors thought that maybe I was experiencing these migraines because of my epidural, but after doing a CAT scan they couldn't find anything. I am not sure if I have a pinched nerve or what, but I get these real bad shooting pains that start at the base of my head and neck, my head starts to throb and then a sharp shooting pain radiates down my back. It takes about 5-10 minutes for that to subside and then it follows with a migraine that keeps me nauseated until it is gone. So, I am just taking it easy today which is good for me since I have been going like a maniac for who knows how long. I am trying to get caught up on all of my blogs and changing a few things around here and there. If any of you are interested in checking out my other blogs then you can definitely do so. I have two other blogs, but Lisa's Ohio Flowers site seems to only be updated during the spring and summer time and a little bit during the winter. I have some GREAT pictures of my flower gardens as well as my many different flowers. Check it out at Lisa's Ohio Flowers and be sure to check out older posts to look at some of my beautiful flowers. It will definitely get you ready for spring!! Here is one of my favorite daylilies. This is Rocket City and this picture was taken last summer. Isn't she beautiful? I can hardly wait to get out in my flowers and putter. My focus will go from the inside to the outside and I am looking forward to it. I am definitely a sunshine type of person and feel like I need sunshine in order to focus on things. I know it sounds weird, but that is definitely me. Enjoy this picture I took of Rocket City.
I am not sure if I have ever posted a picture of my son on this blog, but I thought I would today. Here is my sweet little miracle baby - Cameron. He is truly the light of my life. He was conceived through invitro-fertilization after a loss of a child in 2004 and many many years of infertility and infertility treatments. He is definitely my whole world and God has blessed us beyond our wildest imagination. I dedicated another blog to My Journey Through Infertility and this blog is all about what we went through in order to conceive Cameron, our journey through parenthood and I also use it as a helpful tool to help others dealing with infertility. Well, here is a picture of my sweet boy!
Well, I told you all that I was taking a BIG left turn today. I hope I didn't scare you away, but I just wanted to share a little bit more about me and my world with all of you. There is alot more to me then just painting and primming. I am off to relax, read some magazines if I can concentrate and just take it easy. Hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow if not later today.

Bless your heart! I hpoe you are feeling better by now. I have had 2 migraines in my life and they were horrific! Ym daughter suffers from cluster headaches, which are a lot like migraines. And there's not a lot that will help once one starts.

Something tells me that you may have pinched something in your neck while doing all that painting and extra work. So take it easy and don't worry about any projects for awhile. Your body is telling you to stop!

From what I can see, that is one super cute baby boy! And yes, a miracle. Praise the Lord for giving you such a precious gift!

Feel better soon!

Hey girl,
Cameron is a DOLL! :)
I suffer with Migraines too...mine last from 1-3 days. They seem to be stress and weather related...any change in barometric pressure sets mine off. I know how bad they can be. Throwing up and unable to have any light hit your eyes...it's horrible. I feel your pain, and I hope you get relief soon. I have meds for mine. I hate taking them but sometimes I have no choice.
I can't beleive you are able even be at the computer! I can't when I have one.

feel better ((hugs))
Happy St. Patricks day to you too!

Hi Lisa....oh man, those migrains can really take you down. I get them now and then and take 2 Excedrin immediately. It takes the headache away within about 20 minutes (have to lay down and be still though)....but oh I feel like I was hit by a big truck in my head afterwards. I know your's sounds like it's coming from something else though - hope sometime they find out what's causing it - the pain down the back says it's something.

Hugs, karen

Lisa, I'm sorry your feeling under the weather. Just relax and enjoy some down time while you recover!

I checked out your Journey through infertility blog a little while back and I really enjoyed reading through it!

Since all my bulbs are sprouting up now, I may have tons of questions for you! We "inherited" all that the previous owners had planted. I'm in WAY over my head with my roses!

Blessings,
Mandy

Lisa,
I hope you feel better soon!

I keep seeing a lot of people feeling upset with their blogs lately and honestly, I think if you blog about YOU and whatever makes you who you are, you will never go wrong. Trying to dedicate a blog to this or that seems to make yourself more work and in some cases it really does because people start several blogs, each on a different topic. One is hard enough to keep up with! Just be yourself and if people want to read, they will...

Lisa, my heart goes out to you. I know what migraines feel like and they are not fun. Take some time to ease on out of it. They are not fun but when they pass it is a blessing. Speaking of blessings, your son is a cutey. His smile would make any migraine go away. Hang in there. Sherie

My heart goes out to you...my husband also suffers from migraine headsaches and we have never found out why, only that certain smells intensify them.
God Bless
