Well, the kids are down for a nap right now. Luckily one of the children that I take care of takes a nap in that bedroom where the bathroom is so it gives me a little break. I should be propping my feet up and relaxing, but I felt the need to do something crafty since I have been TOTALLY working on that bathroom. So, I sat down on the computer......ok, well I didn't literally sit on the computer, but I sat down by it to make me a new label for my laundry room. I have been wanting to do this for sometime, but forget about it and well today I didn't forget. I bought this glass jar in Amish Country and I keep my powdered laundry detergent in it instead of the good ole bright colored Tide Box. I thought it needed a label and I couldn't seem to find one anywhere. I found this wording on another site, but didn't care for the text. So, I opened up a word document and VIOLA. I created my own label and I already had coffee/tea stained paper that I made awhile back so I was good to go. Don't you just love it? I just love the look and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for too.
I also worked on some other jars today for my new bathroom. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I dumped out some pickles to give me another jar (lol). My husband would throw a fit if he knew I threw out half a jar of pickle slices, but a woman has to do what a woman has to do in order to make her bathroom look prim (lol). I am not totally done with the jars yet, but they will be complete soon. I plan on putting cotton balls and q-tips in 2 of them and I am not sure about the others. I was going to use a couple of old mason jars that I had, but my labels were too big for them. I guess I will just have to find another home for my little mason jars. I will probably end up putting them in my laundry room. I am going to re-organize that next, but luckily I am not going to paint it (lol). Whew.......
Here is just a sneak peak at the dreaded purple bathroom. Yep, I started tearing down the border, but there is still some left to do and of course all the glue and everything has to come down so it is definitely a chore to say the least.
We took down our towel rack awhile back in order to get my bathroom cupboard in there and well my DH never patched the holes so I am doing that now as well. Oh geesh, why is it that I feel like Tonya The Tool Woman Taylor? I guess if I want things done around here then I have to do them. Well, I better run back to the bathroom and get ready to finish up. Next time you see pictures...... the bathroom will hopefully be closer to completion!! At least I hope so.

Lisa,
You so make me laugh...I would have did the same thing, I think though that Stush would approve after I'd have told him that GW sells empty jars for .69!!!
You sure are coming along in the bathroom redo, I can't wait to see it completed:)
Have a great weekend too!

I am in love with your laundry soap label!
Could I purchase one from you for my soap?
I make my own soap and it would be perfect on my jar.
I'm still being patient with the bathroom redo...see, I'm a good girl!
Have a wonderful weekend!
I love all your labels. Did you make them all?? You did a fantastic job!!!!
Lisa,
Your jars look fantastic. I just love those vintage labels. I still have some that I haven't used. I am looking for just the right jars. Have a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to see the finished bathroom.

Would you mind sharing how to make the labels? I love them. I have been collecting jars. It is amazing how many pretty jars there are out there once you get the labels off.
Hi Lisa,
Love the label...you did a great job on it. I've been making my labels through Microsoft Word using free clip-art. Gary got me another program that is better and I hope he installs it on my computer this weekend.
Can't wait to see your finished bathroom.
hugs, Cindy
Hi Lisa, loving your jar labels. They will look great in your new prim bathroom. Can't believe the progress you have made and keeping the children too. I keep my 2 grandchildren during the day and can't seem to get a lot accomplshed, but I SO LOVE investing in their little lives. I was in Wal-Mart tonight and a lady in paint dept.was telling customer the best hing to remove paper and glue was vinegar and water. She said it just dissolves that old glue...just thought I would pass the info along. Get it all "done up" now so we can see pics...Happy for ya!!!!!Sherrie
