Antiques and Prims and Shopping Oh My!

It has been a couple days since I have posted and I apologize. I have been spending some quality time with my little man and also some time in the bathroom. Nope, not just to be visiting, but to be decorating. Yep, the BIG REVEAL will be on Sunday evening so be sure to check back to see all the pictures of my new and much improved prim bathroom. I know, you all have been waiting so patiently and I have been taking my time (lol). I just want to make sure it is prim perfect for all of you. I have been decorating and hanging some items and it is really taking shape. I must say that my powder room sign that Kath made me looks absolutely perfect in there. Yep, everytime we go to powder our nose we will be looking at Kath's sign. Thank you again Kath!! You are such a sweetheart.
Well, I am heading out of town this weekend to go visit my parents and yes I am heading back to Amish Country. We have reservations to eat at Rebecca's. Oh, they have the best food!! Then we are going to hit some antique barns and malls and then off to Country Gathering we go. I am going to find the perfect shower curtain to cover those hideous shower doors. I also need to still buy a toilet seat cover and a rug for the floor, but I want to wait to see which shower curtain I go with first. I think you all will be quite surprised by my new look. It is definitely taking shape.
I have been looking at alot of you going to thrift stores and finding all sorts of goodies. I have gone to a couple and can't seem to find anything that is worth buying. It has been quite disappointing. I will tell you however that Dru Ann McCarty had a show last night and I placed a bid for a couple items and won so I am thrilled about that. If you take a look at her site and look at her "offerings" then you will be able to see what she had to offer. I will post pictures of the items that I won when they arrive, but I want to leave that to a surprise as well. Don't you all love surprises? I love making you all wait (hahahaha). Well, I will leave you with a couple pictures of one of the antique barns that my Mom and I go through when we are in Amish Country. This barn is full of lots of neat antiques. They had a LARGE amount of crocks, wooden boxes, kitchen needfuls, mason jars, stools, furniture and well the list goes on. I will see if I can get some pictures this weekend of the inside. It has LOTS of neat stuff. Definitely an antique lovers dream!! I know that some people are weird about taking pictures of the inside of their stores and such so I can't promise anything.
Well, I guess I will see you all back here come Sunday evening for the BIG BATHROOM REVEAL. Stay Tuned and thank you for sticking with me and being so patient!! Have a great weekend everyone.

Oh, lucky you...again! Love Amish country, my sister used to live in Ohio when I was about 12 and I used to stay there in the summer:) Love the Amish farms! Have fun and I'll certainly be waiting on the bathroom redo.

What part of Ohio do you live in? Where is the Amish Country you go to? I am in NW Ohio about an hour west of Toledo. We do not have any neat prim shops and only a few antique stores that are not overpriced. I would love to take a road trip someday to see where you get your goodies. Have a fun weekend!! ~Melissa~

Frameless Shower Door said...

Frameless shower doors are very economical to purchase and hence they can easily be purchased by the average people. They look very delicate and thin apparently and thus many people are afraid that they would easily break. However the fact is that they are much more strong, thick, and durable than the ordinary glass and this makes their maintenance easier.
