Shopping at Mom’s House

Nothing better then finding a little prim shop that you always enjoy going to – ya know?  Well, there are many prim shops that I enjoy…. let’s see, we have North Shore Primitives, Country Gatherings and then we have Mom’s Prim Goodies.  Yep, you heard me right.  If I head to Mom and Dad’s for the weekend, there are always prim goodies to be found that Mom doesn’t want anymore.  This past weekend was no different.  I took totes and filled them to the top.  Uh yeah, there was no room whatsoever for a lid.  They are over flowing with prim goodness.  My main concern for this past weekend was to bring home the trunk and I didn’t have a whole lot of room for the other totes, but I brought a few things home that I thought I would share with you today.  Just think that when I go back up in a week or two that I will have more goodies to bring home – YAHOO!!  That just means more to share with all of you.  Well, let me re-phrase that…. more pictures to share with all of you (lol).  So, do you want to see the pictures?

Mom gave me the large pumpkin, but bought me the two smaller pumpkins.

Mom bought me these 3 pumpkins and the punched tin light below.  I love that light.  I thought it would look cute hanging in my family room.  I have little lights and candles lit all over my home.  It just makes it always feel so warm and inviting!  Oh – Mom also gave me the basket too which is below.

Now, let’s change seasons for a little while.  We were going through plastic totes that she had in her garage and she was going to sell or either pitch these following items and well I snatched them up quicker then anything.  Who doesn’t need more Christmas ornaments?  I thought the little snowmen were so cute and you gotta love their noses.

I got a couple sets of these prim looking ice skates.  Aren’t they cute?

Mom also gave me this little tree skirt for a small tree.  Isn’t it just too cute?

Well, those are all the goodies that I am going to share with you today, but keep your eyes open for more wonderful goodies that I will share when I go back to Mom and Dad’s.  I have so much to share and have no idea how I will ever share all of it, but I will do my best.  I know how I love seeing pictures that are posted by other fellow bloggers so I am sure you all enjoy pictures too.

I also wanted to take a moment to say “Thank You” to all that gave me instructions on how to make a make-do chair.  I took some pictures of my Mom’s this past weekend and with some instructions and patience…. I think I might give it a try.  Hopefully mine will turn out as lovely as yours and as lovely as my Mom’s.

Don’t you love the look of those chairs?  Well, hopefully I am able to transform my old ladder back chair that I found at the antique mall into a beauty like this.  I will keep you all posted on the progress of my chair.  Until next time….. I leave you with this picture of this cute baby.  Can anyone guess who this baby is?  Pretty cute – huh?

Take a guess and if you get it right then I will give you Kudos in my next post.  Sorry…. nothing to give away at this time, but perhaps I might have to do another giveaway real soon.  Hope you all have a blessed day!

Great stuff from your Mom. And yes, we do love to see pics!

As for the baby, is it your son? At first I was thinking it might be you, but the little face looks like your sone to me.

Have a great week!

Hi Lisa!....you sure did bring home some wonderful goodies!....I have ALWAYS wanted a make-do chair just like your Mom's chair!

I'm late at reading all the blogs because yesterday I was tied up taking my oldest son to the doctor and filling prescriptions and all that fun stuff cuz on Sunday he took a bad fall jumping a motor scooter off a dirt hill so I wanted to make sure he got a chest xray....he was in so much pain and one side of his face is all scraped up....he never injured himself as a little boy and I told him that now, at 24 and married, isn't the time to start!....I just called him this morning and he's feeling better today thank goodness!

Is that your little man? I am loving that first big pumpkin, it looks so real! Around here it is hard to have a real pumpkin display outside because they rot if it is too hot! Lots of prim goodies from mom, cant wait to see more!

I just saw that you asked about my header. I used Picasa to make my header. It's so easy and you can do a lot with it!

What great items from your mom. That's so nice that you both have the same taste. I'm the only one in my family that likes prim and antiques.

Is that cute little baby you??

Oh, and I love the chair makedo. Would you mind sharing any instructions on how to make one? I too, have an old chair in my basement without a seat that would be perfect for such a project.
I enjoyed catching up on your posts, Lisa.
