It has been a very busy, but successful weekend. I went to my parents Wednesday evening to help them get ready for their garage sale. Mom and I decided to have it on Friday and Saturday, but they people that arrived pretty much cleared everything out on Friday within the first hour. Geesh, the people were like maggots (lol). We opened up the garage door to start moving stuff out into the driveway and people were out waiting in their cars. As soon as the door went up, the people started coming in. We didn’t even have a chance to get stuff moved out. Oh, they had so much stuff. My Mom had 3 large tables jam packed full of prim goodies. The goodies were layered on top on one another and within just an hour, things were being cleared out at a rapid pace. It was GREAT to see all of the stuff disappear. We worked so hard getting ready for the sale and it was a huge success!! They ended up making $476.75. I thought that was great for everything they had out there. They had the garage sale open today, but after only a few hours and only seeing 4 people, we decided to load the rest of the stuff up in the van and take it to Goodwill for the tax write off. So, that is what we did. I am exhausted and so is Mom, but we feel great with what was accomplished the past couple days. I am just so happy that I was able to help her and take some pressure off of her. I meant to take pictures, but I didn’t have the time that morning when we walked out. I did however take a couple pictures of some goodies that I was given before the garage sale. Oh, it was so much fun having the opportunity to shop before anyone else (lol). So, are you all anxious to see some of the many goodies that I received? Hold on to your seats and please try to refrain yourself from trying to grab at my prim goodies!
I received so many goodies. Some to use now as Fall is quickly approaching, some Christmas goodies and also a few other items that I can use year round. Do any of you like Carol Endres? Well, my Mom was going to sell this picture in her garage sale, but I snatched it up at the last minute before anyone else could have it. I thought it would look great in my family room on my freshly painted walls. Don’t you love it?
I also picked up this pillow for my couch.
AND
This pillow for my chair in the family room.
She was going to sell this wreath, but I needed a new wreath for my front door so I grabbed it and put it in my tote to take home. Don’t you love how it is so full of color?
My Mom also bought me these 2 little cute Fall gals that I am totally and madly in love with. I just love their expressions on their faces!! Are they not the cutest little girls you have ever seen? Well, they have made a new home on my black cupboard in my kitchen and they look too cute there.
Well, that is all I am going to post for now. I am experiencing great fits with this Live Writer and it is about to drive me nuts! Are any of you having problems with it too? Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.
Until Next Time……

Lisa, Glad to see that the sale was a huge success. By the looks of the items it's no wonder that the customers were so anxious to buy.
Don't tell me your Mom is giving up her love of Prim things though. I love the pics of her home that you have posted.

Lisa, you have some wonderful prims from your mom! I have the same santa wallhanging that I got from the 2nd hand store a few years ago. I can't believe she is getting rid of such wonderful stuff but it was nice that you were able to bring some home. Glad your sale went over well. I would love to see a sale like that! I think the picture will look nice on your new paint! Have a great Sunday. Jayne

Lisa,Glad that your sale was a great success....Looks like you got some amazing goodies from your mom...Trena
Wow Lisa...your garage sale sounded like a copy of our from last week...we had totally Primitives and home decorative items out there and they went instantly.
Our prices were so low that I wished I had marked them a tad higher...sesriously...it was a give a-way....people were commenting on the low prices.
So I can imagine what your sale was like....your mother always has/had such wonderful goodies cuz we saw them when YOU GOT THEM...lol
Adorable Pumpkin dolls.
