More Dru Ann McCarty Originals to Share

I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the mail lady come up to my door with this huge box. Oh yes, I love receiving packages and when they are big packages.... it makes me even more thrilled. Well, I received my Dru Ann McCarty box today and was thrilled with my goodies that I put a bid on. I put my first bid on Mr. Roote and isn't he just such a cute rabbit? I also put my other bid on this candle holder. Isn't it just so unique and prim? I have it hanging in my family room from a shelf. Here - take a look.
Here is Mr. Roote. He arrived just in time for Easter and he looks great in my entry way. Here is his new home. The extra goodies in the wooden bowl are suppose to go in his bag, but I thought they were too neat to put in the bag so I placed it all in a wooden bowl that I had. Yep, they look great - don't ya think?
Here is a close up of Mr. Roote's face. Isn't he just the cutest? Definitely my favorite rabbit ever. The detail that she puts into her creations is amazing. She is definitely one talented gal.
Here is yet another close-up of his face. Doesn't he look like he could talk?
Here are the eggs that are suppose to go into his bag. They are actually gourds.... aren't they just the neatest? I think I need one more for a total of 3, but for right now the 2 will do just fine.

Hope you all are having a great day. It is in the 50's here in Ohio today and sunny which is quite lovely after snow and cold cold temperatures yesterday. I am working on some makeovers from the thrift store and also enjoying the sunshine coming in my back windows. I love sunshine!!

I am also off to visit my parents for a couple days. We are leaving tomorrow and guess what!?! WE ARE OFF TO AMISH COUNTRY AGAIN. Oops, sorry! I didn't mean to scream, but I am just so excited to be going back to Amish Country and visiting with my Mom and Dad. Uh yes, I get pretty excited over small things, but that is one thing that my husband loves about me : )

Did you all see my firkin that I re-did? Well, if you didn't then you better take a look at the previous post. Yep, I am pretty happy with the changes that I made and love it even more now that it is completed. Well, I better run for now. Talk to you all more in a couple days!!

Cute, cute, cute! Lucky you! Is the candle holder made from an old chain? That looks so familiar for some reason.
Enjoy your new goodies!

Oh he does look like he could speak! He is full of personality, that's for sure! I love your new bunny!

Have fun in Amish country! Lucky you!

Oh and you asked about the red on my pantry door....It started as Cabin Red which was "too pink" for me. So I took it in to Lowes and they worked with it adding drops of this and that to custimize it for me to get that shade. I've since used that can, but had them try to match it up again and they came close but didn't get it exactly. They made the next one with a little more brown. I can try to find the original can out in the shop and see if there's a way to get a sample from it somehow if you'd like. Just email me if you do! I do love that color. It's just the shade I wanted!

Have a great day, Lisa!

Hey Lisa,
You are always coming up with the neatest finds.....I do believe your prim candleholder is a piece from an old horse "single-tree"....it actually was attached in the middle of a long wooden piece(with hooks on each end)
that would connect the work horse or mule to the piece of farming equipment along with "trace chains"(behind the horse)....such as a harrow or plow...I'll see if I can ask my FIL if he can let me take a picture of a complete one for you....
I like your rabbit too....I've met Dru before and their shop isn't all that far from our's.....

Have a wonderful Easter!
