This n That Thursday

Let me first of all say "Thank You" to all that gave their opinions on my coffee box. I appreciate you all leaving a comment. Well, for all of you that are anxiously awaiting the big reveal...... I decided to go with..... Black. I was trying to think of what I could put in my box and I thought that my pears that I just recently completed would look excellent in there along with a label that I had from Susie @ Yankee Lane Primitives. I just love her labels. Anyway, the box was alot more difficult for me to complete compared to my cheeseboard that I did, but I finally got it done to where I thought I could live with it (lol). I added my spiced pear label to the front, added some homespun that I coffee/tea stained and then neatly placed my pears right in the box. I had to use some tissue paper so the pears would stick up out of the box a little bit, but I thought it turned out great. I am definitely pleased with this project. Go ahead and take a look at the pictures I posted below. Doesn't it look great with the label and the pears? Yep, prim perfect!!

Oh - I also wanted to show you some bags that I ordered from Humble Hearts and Homes .
Anne is a follower of my blog and I am a follower of her blog as well and I must say that her store has some real neat things. You can also check out Anne's blog at Seasons of the Past. Anyway, I received my primitive bags in the mail today and they were just what I was hoping for. They are dyed just perfectly and I already found a place for my flour bag. Doesn't it look great with all of my other kitchen needfuls? Oh, lookie there.....another great label. Well, I wanted to show you my new bags that my Mom bought for me (thanks Mom) and now I am off to work on where to place the other 2 bags. Aren't these great bags? Oh - if you are wondering...... yes, I did put some real flour in the bag. I just put a couple cups in two sandwich bags and VOILA it is complete. Check out my other bags below and for a look at some of Anne's other great items be sure to check out her site Humble Hearts and Homes.
