Good Morning Ladies. Hope you all are doing well. I am in need of some advice. I am going to re-do this box and wanted your opinion on how to re-do it. I was thinking black? What do you think? I bought this box new at Flower Factory although it looks old and I am going to sand off that coffee sign and just paint the whole box and sand off some edges. Do you think a red over black would look good or what are your thoughts?
I also have this wooden box holder and I am "thinking" about re-doing it. It is currently a mustard yellow, but a bit brighter then what I did my cheeseboard in yesterday. Seeing as though I can paint and know what I am doing...... well, I am totally addicted to it (lol). Like many of you said in your comments about my cheeseboard......you will want to paint everything and indeed I do. So, what do you think I should do with this? Should I keep it as is or do you think I should paint it the same way I did my cheeseboard or what are your thoughts on this piece? Time to get your primitive thinking caps on and let me know your thoughts and ideas. Can't wait to hear your opinions.

I'd paint them both the first pic black and the second one do like you did for the breadboard, I think it will turn out prim and neat:) Be sure and show us when you finish:)

I'd leave the bigger box as-is. I like the markings in it. Hmmm, not sure about the other one ..black, maybe?
Lisa,
I would paint the coffee one black then sand it well to distress. The 2nd one I would do mustard over black if that's the color you really like but also, where's it going and what other colors are around? I knew you'd be addicted to that prim paintin'.

I think red over black for the first box and black for the second one. Can't wait to see when you are finished !
Here is my unprofessional opinion...I would paint the first box black!
The second box I like the color...how about using a stain to tone down the yellow!
I love that second box!
Ooooooooh.... I love red over black. It looks awesome when it's done... IMHO.
That would look great on your box.
Be sure to post pics of what you do with it.

I agree with Wolfie. I have a hutch that is red over black and distressed and it looks great.
I love the look of red over black. It's one of my favorites. Maybe the first one just black sanded off distressed and the 2nd one red over black.
Can't wait to see what you do!
