What are some of your favorite things to decorate with during Fall? Could it be pumpkins? Gourds? Signs? Please do share. I would love to hear.
I thought that Fall was just around the corner last week. I was really hoping, but the HOT weather came back this week here in Ohio. The air quality alerts were back today and I could barely breath while outside. I think I enjoyed the cooler weather from last week. Fall decorating was on my mind, but now that it is HOT again…. I have put the decorating off once again. Have you all decorated yet?
Here are a few things that I am anxious to get out….. CORN.
Don’t you love the primitive made ears of corn? I wanted something that I could put them in and thought that a cute little market basket would be perfect. Well, I was in luck. I found one while visiting my sister. Her local antique mall was selling them for $4.50. Not too bad.
I also picked up the brown crock and this….. I have been wanting one of these for awhile now.
Do you remember from my previous post….. My sister gave me these olde feed sacks. I love them, but thought they needed a little coffee. So, I stained them along with a few other things and this is how they turned out. Better don’t ya think?
I stuffed them with some poly-fil and then placed them throughout my home. They look great and I love them. Do you have any olde feed sacks? What do you do with yours?

I prefer Fall and Harvest decor over Halloween themed items.. so apples, pears, veggies, pumpkins and those gorgeous shades of gold and burgundy.
Can't get enough of them. BTW, LOVE those corn ears.
I do love fall decor especially the corn stalks and pumpkins, lol really am a harvest nut, hugs and I do not have any feed sacks.
I love the basket.....so cute!! I have several feed sacks I got at my MIL thrift shop several years ago and have done nothing with them. I should try to coffee stain them. (your staining comes out better than mine) Ok so I have to ask what is the thing that looks like a sock with holes in it? Can't wait to see what you come up with next. Stay cool....it turned off and got hot here again in KS. Jenny
I love to use quilts and dried herbs as well as gourds. I used one of my feed sacks as a cutain on the step back I just built and I have one as the matress cover in my prairie cradle.
Love the corn!
Happy craftin,

Girl, I am soooooooooo ready for Fall! We have had a few pleasant days, thanks ot finally getting some rain. But the heat is back!
The temps are starting to drop down into the 60s at night, so I'm taking that as a sign that Fall will son be here. I hope!
Nice finds on your prims goodies! I love feed sacks, but don;t ahve any yet. I think they would make awesome pillows for a chair or sofa. Or even curtains!
Have a great week!
