Opinions Needed

Hope you all are doing well.  We haven’t been able to get out much, but I have been making trips to my garage to work on some signs.  Gotta love anytime you can get out of the house even if it is the garage (lol).  The snow has finally stopped or at least I think and now we are just dealing with the blowing and drifting of the snow.  It has been quite a blustery day here.

My main reason for posting is to get the opinion from all my prim friends.  I did get the opinion from my Mom and a dear friend of mine in South Carolina.  Aren’t friends just wonderful?  I called Sherrie in South Carolina and had the most wonderful conversation with her.  You can tell she is from the south by just talking to her.  I just loved her voice… I almost thought I was talking to Paula Deen (lol).  Anyway, we had a great conversation and I really enjoyed it.  Makes me think of going down south for a visit as I sip on my sweet tea.  Thanks for the chat Sherrie!

Anyway, let’s get down to business.  I am looking to order some more stencils.  I haven’t been that lucky with buying anything from the thrift store so I thought I would spend my money on stencils.  I need your opinion on what type of signs you all would be looking for if you were given the opportunity to get one free.  Also, is there a particular size that you all like?  Do you like something a bit larger for the wall or do you like smaller shelf sitter type signs?  Please let me know your opinion.  I always look to my friends and my customers for advice and their opinion so come on now…..leave me a comment and let me know what you are thinking.  Thank you all for your help and continued support ~ it is appreciated more then you will ever know!

Until Next Time…. Blessings, Lisa

Wow, a tough choice but I would love to find a sign that had sheep and something to do with "wool" written on it. I personally like signs that hang or can lean instead of shelf sitters-8 x 10 inch range or cutting board redo size. Can't wait to see what you come up with. (I'll send you some of our Southern California sun to help melt your snow..lol)

As you probably already know I am a sign freak...lol! When I make or buy signs I usually like the ones you can hang. I hope that helps some.
I can't wait for some warm weather...I have had enough snow that's for sure!!! Have a great evening!

Pam

I often wonder this myself, it will be interesting to see what people say. I know find myself drawn to wide shorter signs, like 6-8" wide and 18" long.

Well I love all signs but I always looked for the bigger ones for the wall but just today I changed my grouping on my dining room table and put alittle bench there with some other stuff and wished I had a little shelf sign to put on the bench next to the candle and phoooey I don't have one.So I am going to have to shop for one.So from now on I will be looking for both kinds.I am going to have to vote for both.

Hi Lisa,

Before I forget I love you header and backgroung...very prim!!!

I would like to see something that I could put behind my faucet in the kitchen, I have a primitive sign but it isn't wide enough for me but it's there none the less:) I agree with Lisa, I like the wider signs too!

Lisa,

I think maybe something in between would be good, look for something that would look good on a shelf, sign, and on the wall. JMO

I prefer bigger ones :) Love them on the walls. I just put in an order last week for more stencils and this time I went with smaller ones that I can use to make more of my own creations with. It takes more time but I like putting different one's together and arranging them to make a more unique sign. I got a stencil burner too, it works great for cutting your own. Good luck looks like you're gettin lots of good ideas here ;)

I have signs everywhere Lisa, and I like all sizes. I have used them on walls, over doors, and then I have a few of the smaller ones for groupings and such. Something that I have been looking for is one about 18" long for my bath. Looking forward to seeing your new signs!

I like big signs, but at times a smaller size is needed. I guess it just depends were one wants to put the sign.
Hope that's some help.

Well I can't give you any opinion on signs because I don't use too many of them and actually have more than enough right now. But I wanted to comment on Sherrie! Isn't she the sweetest?!! My friend Jill is in SC right now looking for her house and when I go to visit her in SC, we are going to meet up with Sherrie sometime. I can't wait! My inlaws live in SC and all their neighbors have thick accents - so cute!!

Good luck with your decision!!

I want bigger signs. I received one from CHAR in her Christmas Swap and I love it. Sometimes we need smaller to specific places, but I prefer the big sizes more.

Well I'm not much help here with stencils being I have never worked with them before and no room for them on my walls...we are short on wall space - lots of doorways...but I just wanted to stop by and say hi and let you know I'm here even though I have nothing relative to add! lol

Hi Lisa,
I'm interested in a sign that hangs on the wall along the lines of the old antique yard long prints. Are you familar with those? Not very tall, but somewhere near a yard long. My hubby and I always plant a garden to help with the rising cost of food and we are always trying to be more self reliant. With that being said, I think I would enjoy a sign that has to do with a "Victory Garden". Victory Gardens were planted during World War I and World War II in order to support the war effort. Hang in there through the end of this long winter. Spring is right around the bend!

Love,
Karen

Lisa,
I like both sizes of signs...the larger ones to hang on the walls and smallers ones as shelf sitters. Can't wait to see your new signs.

Aren't you glad that the snow has finally stopped!! I'm so ready for Spring.

Hi, Lisa! I'm probably not going to be much help! I like all kinds of signs - it depends on where I need one. lol I have some that I hang on my wall and some that I like to tuck into little displays on shelves. I also like to prop bigger ones up on my mantle or outside in a display on an old wooden chair.

Are you sick of this snow yet?!!! I am!! I want it to melt away!

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Lisa,

I like larger signs that I can hang on the wall and I also like smaller signs that can sit on a shelf or table. For the hanging signs, I would like to see something vertical that would be long and narrow. I love signs with colonial references such as taverns, keeping rooms, ye olde homestead, etc. Hope this helps.

I have notived that lately I have been buying smaller ones. I'm sure whatever you decide, it will be great! You do wonderful work!
