I have been SUPER busy since late last week. I have been working on several items and have only finished one, but I thought I would share with you what I have been working on lately. My first priority has been Potty Training my 2 1/2 year old little boy. Cameron has been doing pretty good and I must say that I am so proud of him. Today is Day 6 and he has had no accidents and 4 Gold Stars on the Potty Chart so we are hoping that he is getting the hang of it. It is so cute because we will tell him to keep his underwear dry and to go pee pee and poo poo in the potty and he says “Ok Mommy, I will be careful.” It is just so stinking cute!
Here are some other things I have been working on. I just recently ordered some new game board stencils and since I only had one more 11x20 board, I thought I would make myself my favorite game board and hang it here in my home. I was definitely pleased with the way it turned out. Why don’t you take a look.
If you like the game board then be sure to check out my selling blog as I will be adding it to that site very soon as well as a few others. Here is the link to my selling blog….. Londonberry Primitives. I have also been working on a few other items. I have been a sanding maniac lately, but with this heat here in Ohio…. well, I haven’t accomplished a whole lot. It is just too flipping hot and with my asthma and the heat index warnings, well I just stay inside where it is nice and cool. I have been sanding this trashcan and when I am done with it, I will be sure to post pics. I am just not sure how I will finish it (lol).
I have also been working on this item. I painted it black last night, but after it dried it kinda looked like a dark gray to me so I will have to go find some different paint. I am hoping to keep it black or maybe by the time I get the paint, I will want it a different color. I guess we will have to wait and see. I did paint the hinges and the handle black, but I can always change that. So, what do you think? Doesn’t it look dark gray to you? Yep, I am thinking it is missing something. It just isn’t working for me right now. Guess I will have to think about this one too. Hmmm, perhaps this heat is frying more then just our grass… perhaps it is frying my creative artistic abilities. Stay Tuned Ladies for more pics on this.
Well, that is pretty much everything I have been working on, if that isn’t enough. I have also been filling a few orders which is always fun to do and trying to sleep and relax whenever I can. Definitely hectic around here!! Well, my little man is waking up from his nap and Potty Training 101 is back in effect. Until Next Time….. Stay Cool.

Ahh, I remember those potty training days...so cute.
It's been hot and humid here too and I've been getting things ready for the yard sale so I know what you mean about working in the heat. Love the cupboard Lisa, yeah, I'd try another paint if it were me:)Love the gameboard too, great job on it!

UGH - the heat is awful on asthma, isn't it!!
Stay cool and good luck with the potty training!
hugs, Linda
Good luck with the potty training ~ the videos are so cute. It was actually a little warmer here today but not unbearable. I like the heat. Your gameboard turned out great.

Lisa...glad to hear potty training is going well. Your gameboard turned out nice. Try to keep cool.

Hi Lisa, To me, your paint looks like a washed out black or a gray. Maybe you are right...time to try another paint? Whatever you decide, it will be good.
I have had asthma troubles here in the Finger Lakes of NY again this summer. The high humidity and dampness just get to me.
Hey... continued Good Luck on the potty training issue! What fun!LOL!

We have been having a heat wave here as well. But the humidity is the worst and makes it feel so much hotter. This is when my sinuses start acting up! UGH!
Love the game board. And I think your trash bin will turn out just fine. Do you plan to stencil a design on the front or add a big prim label?
Lisa,
The cake you posted today looks really yummy!
Potty training...oh, those days seem so long ago now! All of those years of changing diapers...its' wonderful when they're trained for good :) But it's always a challenge. A lot of steps forward and back again. Just remember that it's pretty normal. Very few kids are potty trained in one day with no accidents ever again. And my two were trained but continued to wet the bed every night until they were about 4 1/2 or 5. It got old fast and it was easier to buy cheap pull-up's than deal with washing bedding every single day...
The gameboard looks good! The cupboard may just look gray because of the sun. The black I use looks a tad bit grayish at first, too but once it dries, it's good.
Have a great day!
Leslie
