Feeling Better = Lots to Do

Well, I must admit that I am so flipping happy to be feeling better.  My sinuses still are not clear, but the pressure in my ears is gone and the cough that I had has subsided….. Thank you Lord!!  Every single time I get sick with a sinus infection, I can always count on it getting worse then what it should.  I guess my good ole immune system ain’t like she use to be (lol).  Getting older is the pits and being a diabetic with asthma doesn’t help either.  Well, enough of all that stuff.  I have been so busy lately.  I have taken advantage full advantage of feeling better and have used my time wisely.

After going apple picking a couple days ago, I decided to make some yummy Fall recipes for us to enjoy.  I must admit that I love apple desserts during this time of the year!!  Last night I made homemade apple sauce.  My home smelled sooooo good and the applesauce was delicious.  Here is a picture of the apples cooking.  They were tasty just like this…..

Here is a picture of the applesauce once it was all cooked and complete.  It was so tasty warm and I even had some at lunch too.  Yep, it was just as tasty cold.

Tonight I decided to make some apple crisp and once again my home was smelling so delicious.  My apple crisp turned out really yummy.  My husband loved it, but Cameron wasn’t too happy with the texture of the cooked apples.  Hmmm, I guess that just means more for us.  That is such a shame – huh?

Did I also tell you that I took great advantage of nap time yesterday and today?  Well, I realized as I was going through some of my plastic totes that I purchased all of these stencils, took orders, but never made myself anything.  Silly of me – huh?  Well, I had some wood already cut for the certain sizes that I needed and I started crafting.  I went crazy at making signs and made a couple game boards as well.  I still need to sand them and stain them, but this is what they look like so far.  I already have places ready for each and everyone of them, but I just need to finish them up.  There are a couple signs that are new to everyone…. those are the Olde Black Crow Coffee sign, my Harvest sign and my Pumpkin Carving Contest sign.  Don’t you just love them?  I thought they were primtastic.  I hand painted the leaves on the harvest sign and also hand painted the pumpkins.  I thought they turned out pretty good.  What do you think? The neat thing about the harvest sign is that I made the stencil myself on my MIL’s cricut machine.  So, if any of you do scrapbooking and you have a cricut then just know that the possibilities are endless with those machines.  Anyway, be sure to Stay Tuned for finished pictures of all of these.  Hopefully I can get them finished over the next couple days.

Told you I have been busy.  Well, I better turn in for tonight and get some rest.

Until Next Time……

Nice work Lisa. You have been a busy girl. I love the Olde Crow Seed Sign as well as the Black Crow Coffee sign.
Your applesauce looks yummy. My mom makes the best applesauce I have ever tasted. I might just have to ask her to make her babygirl some this weekend. I'm sure she will.
Glad you are feeling like your old self again. Stay well.

Wow. I love the signs and boards. You have been a busy woman. I am trying to set up a room in my home for me to be able to do some crafts and quilting. I am so unorganized but you have inspired me. I am glad that you feel so much better just don't overdo.
