Winter Wonderland

Hope this post finds you all doing well.  We are doing just fine here in the Adkins Household.  We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving with our family and hope that you did as well.  We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family and then Saturday spent the day with my hubby’s side of the family.  Both days were spent stuffing our tummies with good food and enjoying great company!!  Did you all gobble up as much turkey and pumpkin pie that your little bellies could hold?  I know that I had my fair share (lol).  I have been suffering from laryngitis and bronchitis and my doctor put me on prednisone to help get over everything.  Well, if you all have ever been on prednisone aka. steroids then you know that you can be full of energy and eat now and then feel like you haven’t ate in years just 15 minutes later.  Yep, that would be me.  I ate like it was my last supper.  The prednisone does great for my bronchitis and laryngitis, but does absolutely nothing for my waistline.  Ugh!!

Did you all take the time to share what you were most thankful for this Thanksgiving?  I am most thankful for my relationship with God.  I know that if I didn’t have my relationship with God then I would have all of my wonderful and beautiful blessings such as my family, my home, my car, food on the table and my list goes on.  God will provide you with bountiful blessings if you let him be a part of your life.  Trust me….. it is indeed the most rewarding relationship and gift ever!!

So, have you all taken the time to put up Christmas decorations?  We put our trees up the day after Thanksgiving and I had my hubby pull out all of my totes full of my Christmas Santa’s and other decorations.  Shawn tells me that our home looks like a winter wonderland with all of the trees, but in his next breath he admits that he likes it (lol).  He is indeed a good man!!  I am very lucky to be married to such a wonderful man.

Well, I thought I would share a couple pictures of my home as I have decorated it for Christmas.  Here are a few snap shots.  Hope you enjoy the warm and cozy setting.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed the pictures.  I have so much more to share, but thought I better save some pictures for my next post.  Be sure to keep watching because you asked for it and I will be sharing a Magical Make-over on my next blog.  Yep, you heard me right.  A friend of mine as me to re-finish her childhood dresser so her Mom could use it and I was happy to help.  We went from bright white and pastel colors to an olde brick red made by Century Paints and I must say that it turned out beautifully.  So, be sure to stay turned for my Magical Make-Over.

Many Blessings, Lisa

Hi Lisa. I love your decorations. Your Santa is gorgeous! I got one of Stacee's Santas at the Simple Goods show also. I am sorry I didn't get to meet you this year. Hopefully another year.

The subsequent time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I imply, I do know it was my choice to learn, but I actually thought youd have one thing fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you would fix when you werent too busy on the lookout for attention. slots for real money
