So much to Share & So little time

Good Evening Everyone.  Yep, I am happy to say that I am back to blogging.  I have received so many wonderful comments about you all missing me here in blog land so, I thought I would surprise you all and share a post.  I first and foremost hope this post finds you all doing well.  Things have been great here.  I am feeling so much better after being sick for so many months earlier in the year.  I ended up quitting my job and work for another company which I actually enjoy very much.  Have you ever heard of the company Restoration Hardware?  Well, that is who I work for now and I must admit that I really enjoy it.  I work part-time hours and have every Friday off which is wonderful.  I was able to schedule my own hours and it gives me the opportunity to drop Cameron off at school every morning so I enjoy that very much!!

Cameron is doing wonderfully in school.  We had a conference with his teacher just the other night and I must say that we have one very smart kid on our hands.  He is so advanced in his class and is way ahead of the other kids.  He loves to talk so that can sometimes get him in trouble, but I love to talk as well so I guess that he gets that from his Mommy (smile).  He received an award at an assembly that they had on Friday.  It was kinda a generic award, but still an award.  I was so proud of him.  We ended up taking him out after seeing his grade card and for receiving his award.  We took him bowling and then we had pizza.  It was alot of fun!!

Shawn and I are due to celebrate 9 years of marriage on Wednesday the 14th.  I can’t believe that it has been that long.  He is still as wonderful as ever.  This year he surprised me with a new drysink.  I must say that I absolutely LOVE my new drysink.  It wasn’t finished, but it gave me the opportunity to finish it the way I wanted and I actually just finished it today.  Here is a picture of it before I painted it.

I decided to go with a red over black and I am so glad that I did.  It turned out wonderfully or maybe I should say beautifully.  Yep, I love it.  So, are all of you ready to see the finished project?!?  Here are some pics of the process.

See my little helper?  I thought if I was going to let him help me with anything then it would be the bottom coat (lol).

WOW ~ now that is a bright red.  I know I was totally thinking to myself “Gosh, I hope that red calms down a bit”.  Luckily, it did after I sanded it and stained it.

After two warm days of drying outside, I was beyond happy to bring it inside and place it right in front of my back window in my family room.  It looks perfect right where I placed it and my Santa that I got at the Simple Goods Show looks prim perfect right on the top.  Here is a picture…….. Feast your eyes on this beauty!!

Here are some pictures of my Santa from Arnett’s Country Store.  I absolutely fell in love with him.  I just love his glasses, his face and the detail that was given to him when making him.  I just love her Santa’s.

Don’t you just ♥ him!!  I know that I do!!  I still need to decorate the top of my drysink a little bit more, but I knew I had to take a picture and share it with you.  I knew I didn’t want to wait and I am sure you didn’t either.    So, have you all started decorating for Christmas yet?  I haven’t except for this Santa being out and will probably wait til after Thanksgiving to finish my decorating.  I sometimes just feel like they keep rushing the holidays.  Anyone else with me?  I mean we weren’t even done with Halloween and I was already hearing Christmas music and seeing the decorations out.  It was crazy!!

Goodness, I feel like there is so much to share and so little time.  Since my last post, we did end up buying a camper.  Yep, I must say that I love camping.  Everyone at one point or time thought I could never be a camper, but I really enjoy it and love it even more now that we have our own camper.  Here are some pics of our last camping trip of the year.

Isn’t it just beautiful?  I feel so close to God when I am out among nature.  Does anyone else feel like that too?!?

Look at this old place.  I drove by it and thought instantly how great it would be if it were fixed up and turned into an olde primitive home.  Can’t you just imagine the beauty that this place could have?!?  It has so much potential.  Oh, it makes my heart go pitter patter (lol).

Well, I hope you all enjoyed the post.  I know that I have missed blogging as well and I am happy to have returned.  Hopefully I will be able to blog at least once a week.  Don’t hold me to it, but I will try my best.  Here are some random pics for your enjoyment.

Well, Hello Lisa!!!
So nice to hear from you.
Ive missed reading your post.

What an awesome little guy you have there. Im so glad he is enjoying school and doing so well.

Way to go, Cam!

Love that dry sink.
The stained red turned out fabulous.
So prim looking.
And of course love your Arnetts Santa. Can you believe their shop is just a few miles from my house and I have only been there once!! Gasp! I know. I honestly forget it is there because it is tucked away so nicely. I need to write myself a note and stick it on the fridge to remind myself. :)

So glad you are feeling better and are back to bloging. You have been missed!
Hugs,
Tam

Hi Lisa, glad to see you back on here again. Now I need to follow your lead, I am way behind too. I resisted FB at first but once you get on there you find it easy to keep in touch so easy. But nothing beats a blog and all of the fun photos.
